This dear little doll has big pencil drawn eyes and triangle nose and an oval mouth. Her arms stand out to her sides making her look like she is spinning and twirling. She is cotton stuffed medium firm, her legs are covered with the same material as her bloomers that are sewn on. They feel like they are original. She has big feet and all I can say is my feet are big and my mother would console me with, just think of it this way you won't tip over easily...

This antique wooden doll is hand carved and still has some original paint. The face is nicely carved, the body is painted a dark green and the legs and face have a having a dark patina. The head has black painted hair. He has a big hole in his middle that I think was a hole for a jigger pole. He/she I think was a doll first and then a jigger but I can't say for sure. The back of his head has lots of wear so that didn't happen while he was a jigger...

This wonderful perfect tiny penny wood doll in original dress and hat and painted red shoes on her tiny wooden legs. She is so tiny I have trouble picking her up. She is 1" tall with her dress just a little longer and her hat a little taller she is 1 1/2" all together. The round Dresden box is 3 3/4" in diameter and is1" tall. It has blue wall around the sides and other than a couple of scuff marks it is in good condition...

This is a very nice pen wipe black doll made with a wishbone. She has layers of flannel skirts with wish bone legs wrapped with black cloth. She is 3" tall with an embroidered face and knotted black yarn hair. On the front of her she has a sticker that reads, Wipe your pen on me. She is in excellent condition, no one ever used her, 3" tall and circa 1880.

This big folk art oil cloth doll has a lot going for her. She has heavy brush stroke painted face done by some no nonsense mother. She gave her a suggestion of curls around her face, no fussy curls here! She colored her lips a dark purple but definitely not bright red. Seeing that she is all oil cloth her body is very firm as well as her legs and arms. She has wear and some cracking to the paint but not through the oil cloth, which often happens...

This is a great black doll 22” tall, firmly stuffed with cotton, jointed arms and legs but the arms do not bend a lot. She has an embroidered face with tiny stitches and great round eyes. She has brown material for hair that has lost the pile so it is just material. Her hands both are mostly missing stuffing but a good portion of the material is still there. She has big long feet. Her dress is wonderful and has been on her for a very long time as are the underclothing...

This lovely painted face cloth doll has a shyness about her. Her eyes are really well painted and kind of talk to you. She has a very nice hand sewn body. Her face is framed with painted brownish red curls. She is all original including the paint on her face. She does have some thinning of the paint and a little loss but nothing serious. The back of her head is another story...

This nice antique cloth doll has the eighteen hundreds straight red embroidered line for a mouth that allows her to have many or no emotions. She has two dots for a nose but the mother went the extra length to put stuffing under to give her a raised nose. She has really nicely embroidered eyes with little stitched eyelashes on the top lids. She has astrakhan trim hair that is firmly stitched on...

Painted cloth face that has the look of leather. She has a pinched nose and pinched mouth and embroidered with red floss. She has boton eyes and great twisted brown string hair. She is an early doll and night have two other faces under this one. Her body is very firmly stuffed with cotton. This is a big old fashion linen homespun rag doll with a great pencil face. She has wear and recovering on her arms and legs. Her face is a very old recover that is also real homespun linen. This is another example of a make-do doll. She has a very early body that probably had a china or papier mache head. It was sure easier to just make a cloth head and put it on a doll body that had a broken head than to make the whole doll. She is 24" tall and is firmly stuffed with cotton. The body is 1860 and the head is 1890, pretty cool. She is wearing a early soft red dress and a full slip and a flannel blue and white striped petticoat. She is a real character and her name is Lizzy.

Funky old embroidered face, button eyed, black cloth doll. Antique cloth dolls feel old as well as looking old. The stuffing, whether it is rags or cotton, should feel compact, not spongy like polyester filling or with raw wool is should have a little give but not much snapback.
