Do you believe it, this little linen doll has the best face with tiny bright blue eyes, two tone big rosy pink cheeks, and a little red line for mouth. This is a wonderful doll cloak or a small child's cloak, in very good condition with no moth holes, no tears. The bonnet is lined with a red and white silk fabric. The original hook and eye is still at the neck. It was one slight stain on the bottom front left edge. It looks like someone with a little powder put their thumb down. It is a great Shaker cloak in a small size. circa 1890

Antique cloth doll with ink drawn face and hair, a body that is all original and dressed in a period dress, pantaloons and blouse. The wild hand knit red and white wool socks are a surprise but I can picture a little girl putting them on her and thinking they look grand. This is a pull toy rabbit on a wood platform and wooden wheels. The rabbit is paper mache or press cardboard maybe is more accurate but old. The purple hat is felt. She has glass eyes. She is just the best. 7 1/2" long 5" wide and 7" to the top of her ears and is circa 1890-1910

Very nice 16: by 16" calico doll quilt all hand sewn. Some of the calico fabrics are great. The back is a stripe that kind of looks like ticking but is a little hint of floral. There is a batting in between the front and the back and stitched together with diagonal lines. Condition is very good, I don't see anything other than some minor age related discoloring here and there. I had it on the top of an old red blanket chest and it looked wonderful. This rag doll has the gift of giving comfort just by looking at her. She is a little soft, her dress has been on her forever and has wear here and there. Under her dress she is wearing undies that look original. She is all hand sewn with fairly big stitches but sewn really nicely. Her legs are large and sturdy with feet that point east and west. No big or even little boo boos other than a little hole at her mouth. Maybe too much kissing or maybe the act of feeding a little porridge now and then....

This early pencil face doll is what I call plain and simple. It is the type or doll I would see for sale in the 1970-80's. Somehow the fancier antique cloth dolls didn't appear until the 1990's and later. She has a simple drawn pencil face, no hair, a mitten hand with just the thumb separate and the little turned up foot. She sits easily and fits in with anything on a shelf or with a collection. A very unusual and great topsy turvy doll with a watercolor painted face. She has blue eyes, a perfect little kewpie doll mouth, reddish hair and a flaunty hap framing her face. The black doll has a red bandana tied around her head, she has white eyes and mouth and a sensible yellow dress with a black checked apron. She is in good condition with just the back of her bonnet shredded a bit and there is age related staining. She is 14" end to end and is circa 1890-1910.

Pencil face cloth doll is 21” tall, with a big lollipop head that can nod back and forth just a little. She has a firmly packed body with attached arms and continuous legs that do bend for sitting a lot over the years. It is a bit of a forced sit. She has a curved body in at the waist and would at the hips and chest. She has black sock and red boot shoes that have been sewn on and I think are original. She is wearing an antique pair of pantaloons with an antique dress that fits her very well. ...

This old antique rag doll has the simplest drawn face. Two round dots for eyes with one line eyebrows a U shaped nose and a little round mouth with the tiniest 1/4" line in the middle. It shows the meaning of pursed lips. This doll is made with muslin and stuffed with sort of lumpy cotton. She has been used and abused and has lived to tell, or not. She has on a blue calico dress and a white apron that perks her up. She is 19" tall and is circa 1890.She needs a good home so she can rest.

Early cloth rag doll with drawn pencil face and mitten hands. She is firmly packed with cotton. She is wearing a very worn but nice blue plaid dress with velvet trim, pantaloons and black socks. These darling 2 1/2" tall Koala bears are antique velvet. They have some kind of metal buttons for eyes and noses. Their little paws wrap around the real nut shells. They have old red ribbons around their necks. The ribbons are old but may not be original. The velvet has lost some of the pile but it is not noticeable with the foundation fabric being the same color. They are a little bit soft with an inner core of wood so they sit nicely. You can tell they are best friends. Circa 1890

A man and woman black cloth dolls with composition heads. They were not made by the same person but they were sold to me as a pair and they are great together. She is 24" and very heavy. He is 27 " and is tall and lean with cool clothes. I think they are both from the 1930's. Both have early and probably have original outfits also the sun fading on the woman skirt looks like she had a different apron. They are in very good condition. A terrific pair of black dolls.

Two pewter plates with old patina right out of a New Hampshire house. They are 8 1/4" across and one has a touch mark that I cannot make out. The other I don't see any mark. They have nice old patina. Circa 1820

Wearing an old red calico dress with blue checked apron, this tired little lady is resting her weary bones. Her cotton stuffed body is all original, the right side of her face has some over paint of pinkish white that is a very old over paint, it doesn't fluoresce, but it doesn't seem to be hiding anything either. a secrets that I guess she isn't willing to give up. Great painted face cloth doll for the 1880-90. Her face is one of a kind but painted with a very skilled hand. Her eyes almost look like glass rather than paint. Her body is continuous with arms and legs. She will sit but it is a bit of a forced sit. She is wearing a pink print dress and a pink bonnet that looks great on her. She has defined stitched fingers and toes...really cute and nicely done. She is Circa 1880-90 and is 19" tall

This doll has a dynamic face with bright blue eyes and long eyelashes. She has great hands with lovely long fingers and thumbs. She is uncomplicated all one piece of fabric in back and in front.
