This sweet little antique cloth doll is wearing black calico dress that might be original it fits her so well. She has embroidered eyes and a hint that she had an embroidered nose and probably a mouth. She has the great astrakhan hair that says she was made around 1890 and the dress is that era too. She has jointed arms and legs, is stuffed with cotton sort of medium firm. She is a very nice old but nicely cared for antique cloth doll. 10" tall.

A very nice child size red, white and blue checked bonnet. It has the cardboard stays that are removable so the bonnet can be washed. I like this feature because you can hang the bonnet on a peg rack so much easier without the stays. It is in good condition it just one spot at the very top of the brim...see picture. It is 13" top to bottom and 9" front to back.

This is a very dear doll in her very best dress and put together hat. Her body is all original and bends and sits well. Her blue print dress is a lovely fit and she is wearing lace trimmed pantaloons and petticoat. Her shoes are homemade and interesting. That means I don't really understand them but they are sewn on and she likes them. Her face has holes and mends as well as shell and bead eyes and a faint nose and embroidered mouth. I don't have many left from the earliest days of buying in the 1970's but this is one of them. He is a happy little guy made with a stockinette sort of fabric. His face is nicely embroidered with a fine floss and what looks like hundreds of stitches to make his eyes and teeth. She has leather arms in poor condition but they really look original, long shaped legs and turned feet. Her body is skillfully sewn and is firmly stuffed with cotton. This doll was made with things at hand and with a simple hand drawn pencil face. She has short folky arms with stitched defined fingers. She is stuffed with rag and straw and cotton. This early cloth doll is beautifully made, all hand sewn, very firmly packed with cotton and maybe rags also, and is reinforced with a wooden stick so her head stable, no back and forth wobble. A very nice antique Punch as is Punch and Judy a famous puppet show in England. He has a leather face with painted features.(It could be oil cloth or painted fabric but it looks like leather to me.) His outfit is original and is weak and shredding in places. His face is all good other than the tip of his nose has a small break. He has attached arms and legs and is quite floppy in a nice way. He has an injured hand that someone dealt with by putting a sock over it and it seems to be working well....

This is a collection of paper doll dresses from the 1840-50's. They are all cut from tissue paper and glued to blue lined school book paper of that era. The lace looks and feels like Dresden pressed paper. Some of the dresses have backs, fronts and then open to allow to drop over the paper doll's head, like a billboard A frame. Antique little black doll all hand sewn with a really nicely embroidered face. Her little eyebrows are almost up to the top of her head and her mouth is in a little warped O. Bottle dolls are usually made to be a doorstops but this little all original girl would maybe be used as a paper weight in its day. She has a lovely embroidered face, a mop hat, a shoulder scarf and flat arms with flat little hands and an apron over an old calico skirt. This is a very nice 1830 milliner doll with a contoured anf paper-mache painted face. Her body is cloth and her arms and legs are wood. The spoon hands have defined thumbs. She has on a dress that had to have been made for her but maybe 50-100 years ago. It is all hand sewn and maybe it is early than I am saying. This sweet little brown and red doll quilt is in exellent condition with just a little fraying on one edge...see close up. I like to see signs of age like this because it shows it really old. When fabric has been folded and washed and ironed the folds start breaking down the fabric, sometimes aging is a good thing. The quilt is 6" square and is backed with a double pink calico.

A small sweet excellent condition antique egg basket. It has nice patina and is circa 1870-80. It would hold about 5 or 6 eggs and a lot of strawberry emeries.

This tiny handsewn patch work quilt has just on square that has a little hole. One of the long sides the edge has a bit out of it, maybe it caught on something. The sewing is somewhat unskilled and appears to have been a labor of love rather than perfection. It has a lot of charm and nice enough to be uses on a doll bed or hung on a wall. A most wonderful twisted raw wool doll with fur hair, bead eyes, defined stitched fingers, little leather shoes, lace dress with all the underpinnings, a necklace, and she is holding a purse. She has the dearest little face with a pinched nose and a tiny stitched mouth. She is a gauze bonnet that is starting to shred. She is 5" long and is circa 1870 and very special.

This is a tiny wooden doll wearing her original clothes. She has on a golden brown silk dress with blue trim. Under her dress she is wearing a fabulous woolen petticoat with a white petticoat under that. She has wooden arms and no legs. I don't feel any attachment under her skirt just the wooden body but she likely had legs. She has original paint still on her head and face. This nice antique cloth doll has the eighteen hundreds straight red embroidered line for a mouth that allows her to have many or no emotions. She has two dots for a nose but the mother went the extra length to put stuffing under to give her a raised nose.
