This early little doll is all hand sewn, has three seams in the front to allow for a graceful small waist and larger chest and hips. Her arms end with the nicest delicate hands with tiny fingers and thumbs, see picture. She is softly stuffed with cotton giving her a nice feel with a little give when you hold her. She has a pencil drawn face that has faded but you can still see it, bead eyes and she is wearing a jaunty little hat. I hope no one tells her that she doesn't have any hair and I don't think she ever did. Bald is beautiful these days. Her clothes are pinned on and I will never get the clothes back on so they look as good as they do. I have looked and her body is all original, her face maybe a second face but other than that I think she has an original body. Her dress is early and hand sewn and fits her perfectly, under that is a gray and white striped flannel petticoat and then a pair of pantaloons over black socks. She is a little treasure. 15" and C.1880.
