This is a lovely antique cloth doll with the early sloping shoulders, long neck, and lollipop neck. She has the hourglass shaped body. Her face is drawn with sepia ink. One of her pupils looks very much like the shape of a heart. She is a bald one and I don't see any evidence hair ever sewn on. She has a cotton stuffed body and is continuous so she has a little bit of a forced sit. Her clothes have been on her a long time so after a try to take them off I decided to leave them alone. Over the years her body and been fixed up. She has recovered arms up to her elbows and recovered head that has been on a very long time. I can kind of feel a face underneath. The body is homespun cotton and her face is homespun linen. Her clothes could be all original. The two piece dress is a blue and white roller print. She is 20" tall, has a wonderful early drawn face and is circa 1870.
