I don't see oil painted faces on topsy turvys very often and this has one of the best. The choice of dress fabric compliments these two faces. The black doll has a red and brown raise embroidered design and the white doll has a black white and gray calico print. Both of the dresses have fragile areas, on the calico dress there is a hole about the size of a dime. The doll is very firmly stuffed with cotton. She is 15" from top of head to top of head, is all original and is circa 1870-80.
