This doll is such a cute little package. She is sturdy, firmly stuffed, and a great face. She has an applied nose, intricately embroidered eyes and homespun red lips. She has mitten hands and jointed arms and legs. She is wearing a red calico dress and a brown calico apron. Everything about her is nice. She does have a mend under her lip and a stress area over her lip. They are not fragile nor do they look like they are going to get worse. It seems to be the nature of black cloth. The iron oxcide used to dye the cloth makes the fabric weaker over time. She is 13" tall and is circa 1890
