She is cute as a button and her face and body are all original. Her clothes fit her nicely but her slip is a natural wool with embroidered edge and she has a onesie under it and then the blue and white antique dress and coverall over it. Her socks and shoes are painted on and have a really good look. The paint on her face has crackled a bit but it looks worse in the pictures than in real life. She is one of these dolls that looks smaller than her 17". I don't know how that really works but inches tall does not always tell you the everything. She is circa 1900 and a very nice home made and naïve painted face doll.
