A big painted face doll out of the mid west where she spent some time on loan at a museum. She has big brown eyes and sweet shapely lips and brown hair with suggested curls around her face. She has the four seamed head the meets on the crown of her head as four triangles. She has a firmly cotton stuffed body that is all original and jointed at the shoulders, hips and knees. She has on an antique brown calico dress, a linen slip, pantaloons, red wool socks and high button shoes. The paint on her face looks all original the only exception are her eyes and it looks like at some point a child made them a little darker with a crayon. Her face has a few large what look like wrinkles but I think that her face at one time was darkened by age. She is 26" tall and is circa 1880. She is a gentle being.
