I have always really liked the black bottle doll doorstops. They are something I keep more than I sell. I am offering of few of mine for sale so here is the second one. This bottle doll with her head tipped to one side and her mouth, down turned and barely visible is wearing a red polka dot dress with a shear cap and apron. I have only had one other doll with a secret and the story goes like this...

Native American love token Valentine made with glass beads, felted wool, hide trim and Baby Ruth Candy Bar box for backing. It is 8" by 6 1/2" and is a very original and folky.

Antique cloth doll with center seam face, nice pinched nose, bead eyes with feather stitched eyebrows. She has a tiny red floss stitched mouth. She has leather arms in poor condition but they really look original, long shaped legs and turned feet. Her body is skillfully sewn and is firmly stuffed with cotton. She has a very large derriere that allows her to sit easily. She is made with black sateen fabric. She has a few mends but is in good solid condition. Her dress is sewn and is in shreds...

This could be your lucky day, here is a four leaf clover needle case probably made by the Woodland Indians in the North East. It opens like a book and has three round pieces wool of white wool with green floss edging. The clover is made with green floss. the sewing needle case is hinged with a green ribbon tied in a bow and the latch is also green ribbon that ties to keep it closed. It is in excellent condition. It is 2 1/2" in diameter. Circa late 1800's.

This doll has a lot going for her. (The lines that you see on her face are two seams and the rest are slight ripples in the fabric that are catching the light, there are no tears). She is all original and she is an older woman with gray hair. She has a tired expression on her face but her face is still kindly looking.
