Spectacular yellow grain painted multi-drawer chest with blue striping. It is all original, has early tiny square nails, wooden knobs, and drawers that open and close easily. Two of the top drawers were used for storing spools of thread. The holes and outline of spools are there but the posts have been removed. It is painted on all four sides. It is 18" wide, by 19" tall and is 10 1/2" deep not counting the knobs. It is circa 1840.

This is an early antique doll Apothecary made in the mid to late 1800's. It is in very good condition. The paint is a very dark green to black depending on the light. All the drawers work, doors open, glass looks original. There are lots of accessories set out and more in the drawers. It is 30 1/2" across by 15" high at the highest point, and 16 1/2" deep. It is painted back around the exterior. I love the original painted floor. Circa 1880'.

A very nice great blue Hannah Davis hat box with original label. The NH wallpaper lining the interior is dated 1832 and has articles about towns close by to Jaffrey NH where Hannah Davis lived and made her hat boxes from the 1820's to 1850's. This one is the best blue, has normal scuffing more on one side than the other. The rim of the lid has been glued in several places that you can see looking down on the top of the lid. The box is just 12 1/2" so it is a perfect size to be displayed anywhere...

This doll has a dynamic face with bright blue eyes and long eyelashes. She has great hands with lovely long fingers and thumbs. She is uncomplicated all one piece of fabric in back and in front. She isn't jointed but she does sit. She has normal length arms but when I photograph here with her clothes on they look short. I don't get it is what it is. (See pictures with her clothes off.) She came bald but with evidence of a wig. I plunked one on her but it is just pinned on. She is 20" tall and is...

One of the finest Sunday going to meeting dolls, wearing her best dress and looking great. She has a stunning embroidered face with detail done with a skilled hand even shading her eyes with black and gray thread. She has astrakhan hair that actually goes around and in front of her applied ears. You know how much I like dolls with ears. She has hands with stitched defined fingers and separate thumbs. Her body is all original with attached arms and legs and jointed knees. She has the modified hou...

True to the saying, the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. This naïve painted face little doll is as cute as can be. She is 13" tall and is painted heavily with oil paint. Her body is all original but she is missing her left arm. Her right arm is over sized and a little crazy but it is absolutely right. Her dress has an under slip that is made with the same material as the dress. I can't get if off so I pulled it down so you can see she is original. She is a funny little thing with...

And yet I don't think she has a clue. She is just quiet and takes it all in. We all could use a friend like that. She has an embroidered face that is nothing short of great. She has hair that looks really real and yet I don't know what it is, maybe mohair? She has on an undershirt, and white dress with a blue calico skirt. She is firmly stuffed with cotton and is jointed at the shoulders and hips. She is in really good condition with just one foot that has a repair and a split at her ankle. She ...

This doll is an old friend and I am very fond of her. She has a center seam face and ears, both features I really like in the homemade dolls. She has real hair braided down her back. Often times this was the child's hair and a way to talk them into a short haircut for summer. She has a very nice body with a bum made for sitting. She is firmly cotton stuffed, jointed arms, shoulders, hips and knees. She is dressed in an age appropriate dress but it is a little tight and is making do and looks gr...

This wonderful folky antique cloth doll is a hoot. She has a very simplistic round head with a suggestion of pencil drawn eyes, nose and mouth. She has a nicely shaped body, big outward turning feet but nothing compared to the size of her great carefully made hands. They are outstanding. She is stuffed gently with cotton so she has a squeezable body. She has on a blue calico dress with a petticoat under it. She has a funny hat plopped on her head. She is a real character. She is 17" tall and is...

This little 16" black cloth doll has button eyes and simple chain stitch nose and mouth. She is stuffed gently with rags and her arms and legs are straight forward with just rounded ends. She has a hint of the hair that used to be there, it is mostly around the top. Her legs have layers of stockings but I can see the original brown cloth at her hips so I think her original legs are under there. Her red calico dress is almost as worn as she is. She is a sweet, old and loved rag doll, circa 1910-1...

Really finely carved husband and wife in hand sewn clothes from Tennessee. They are from the 1930's and you can tell that the carver was experienced. You can actually see wrinkles in their faces and the great protruding chins. Her bonnet is lovely but her hair is carved beautifully. They are fully jointed and the joints actually work. They are 9 1/2" tall. The show appropriate wear for their age with the overall showing some weakness from the acid in the wood but it is on the back so it doesn't ...

This cornfed down home girl is really sturdy, all hand sewn with firm strong stitches. She is made from feed sack. A lot of the feed sacks around the 1900's were advertised to have labels and print that would wash off with one washing, (Ultimate recycling). This was not one of those feed sacks. She is stuffed with rags. She had another face over this one and there maybe and older one under this one. Her hips are not jointed but she does do a pretty good forced sit. She is dressed in a blue cali...

This is a beautiful wax over Paper Mache doll with pupiless glass eyes. She has a beautiful face with some loss of paint and some repaint. She has a break at the back of her shoulder plate. The good news is she is 23" tall and has on a very nice but fragile period dress and pantaloons. Her face is beautiful and does not look repainted or damaged until you get close. She is from the 1830-40's and looks wonderful sitting in an early period chair. She is priced accordingly to her overall condition...
