Early 13" rag doll wearing a black calico dress with red trim. She has a stitched face, hinged arms and legs, firmly stuffed antique body and feet with sewn on boots that show wear to the bottom and the toes. Her body is all original, her calico dress is old but not original to her and doesn't quite meet in the back. Her sweet little face has a quiet but sad look. It seems over the years that I have seen quite a few small cloth black dolls with sad little faces. Circa 1890-1910

This is nine wooden toy houses made in Germany in the last quarter of the 19th C. They have great eye appeal and are so small they will fit anywhere you want to bring a smile to your face. They are from 1" to 2 3/4" tall. They are painted on both sides so the first picture is all of them facing one way and the second is the other side of all of them.

Fabulous homespun black wool blanket with the best bittersweet color stripes at both ends. It is very soft and in very good condition but not mint. It has a later hand sewn edge on one end that is coming loose in a couple of places and there are a few small thin areas. It is 68" by 60" and it makes quite a statement. It is not as early as the center seam blankets but it makes up for it in looks.

This is a first for me, a topsy turvy doll that are two babies, a white baby on one end and a black baby at the other end. They are made with knit stockings. They have dear little embroidered faces and are girls dressed in pink and white. And since they are babies they are small, just 9" top of head to top of head. They have some age related spots and darkening in areas. They are soft to the touch and adorable to look at. They are mostly hand sewn with some tiny treadle stitches on the hem of th...

A great stylized primitive toy horse with bead eyes and felt ears. He has a wire frame that holds his shape so he can stand but over the years the wire has broken through the wool homespun fabric in his back and at the bottom of one of his rear legs. He has a long neck and body with short legs that makes him look very folky. He shows wear but the fabric is strong and all there. He is 9" long and 5 1/2" tall. He is circa 1870 and is really nice.

Antique linen cloth doll with faint pencil face. She is rag stuffed with a funny little body that has incisions down the front and the back. Have no clue but maybe someone wanted her thinner or fatter than she was or once I had a doll that had a hole for hiding something. She has short folky little arms. Her legs are continuous with her body but she bends and sits easily. She has on a homemade shift of slip and then over that a nice blue calico dress. Her black socks are sewn on but I can feel ...
