This bed post doll is made from a very old turned post and she is solid wood up to the top of her head. I think she was always covered with clothes but I could be wrong but I sure don't want to take her apart to find out. She has rolled arms that wrap around her back. She has a pumpkin head, some blue on her face that might have been eyes but doesn't really have a face anymore. She has got on a blouse and then another blouse over it and the lace collar. I can feel that the head is wooden and is right under the fabric. It comes in are her neck and flares out and then narrows to her waist and the slants right back out for hips that go straight down...see pictures. She is 9" tall and circa 1840. I have owned her for a lot of years.
