This is a lovely Quaker lady wearing her original clothes and hand sewn leather shoes. Her face is a nicely defined and hand painted, her head is paper mache. She has two bonnets on, the indoors net bonnet and then the black bonnet that is worn when outside. Her brown taffeta dress is in nice shape, her yellow shoulder scarf is shredding a bit but still there. She has a plain cotton slip and bloomers under the dress. She is holding a drawstring purse in her right hand and walking stick in her left hand. She is 8" tall and circa 1840. It is quite unusual to find these dolls in good condition.
