This very nice antique painted face doll that has some very nice qualities. She is 25" tall and she has original paint, her body is all original but it is possible her arms have been replaced. They are old but the material is a little different.
Her painted face is straight forward and done nicely and resembles early folk art portrait faces. The paint is applied very heavily. She has applied ears with painted ringlets in front of her ears. The paint is all original with no in painting. I really like her profile... see picture. Her clothes have been on her a very long time. She has pantaloons, petticoat, calico brown and antique white print dress. She sits nicely, she is firmly packed with cotton and is jointed at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. She has a hint of a smile. She has big brown eyes and a delicate nose. She is circa 1870-80 and pretty great!
