This is a very nice all original very small paint decorated box. It is all original and including the lock and key but the lock I think been disabled. The boards are thick for such a small box and the nails are also oversized for the box. It is the kind of thing that makes you smile. This is a box that was made with the supplies at hand! It is early and nice with very strong paint.
There is a area on the bottom with a piece of wood partially missing and a couple of newer nails at the back of the top. It is 9" by 7" by 5 1/4" tall and is circa 1830.
