This doll had the nicest look of a serene country woman. She has a long graceful neck, a slim but curvy hips and small waist. She is all original even though there is a old cloth wrap around her neck probably to stabilize her neck and it work really well. She has jointed shoulders, hips and knees. Her feet are long and nicely shaped and her ankles and thin and very nice. Her hands never did anymore that be rounded off but now one has come undone and the other is a little frayed. She is 18" tall...

This 19th C. flannel rabbit is the cutest thing. Her ears are unruly at times and look like a helicopter about to take off. She was pink and now is a yellow brown with a little bit grunge. He has one little mended hole in his back foot. He is 8 1/2" and 4" high at the highest point. C. 1890 and from Berks County PA.

What a wonderful little pencil face doll with rolled legs and arms, the arms are attached not wrapped around like you see sometimes, and wearing the best brown calico dress. When I bought this doll I was sure that the brown calico dress that I have been holding on to was going to fit her perfectly and it did and does. The doll and the dress are all hand sewn. Under the dress her bloomers and petticoat are sewn on as well as a blouse she is wearing. She is very nice and just 13" tall and is from ...

Black dolls are getting harder to find so I like it when I find one especially if they are uncomplicated. This girl face is embroidered with a heavy red floss that gives her face a bold appearance. She has shoe button and astrakhan hair. Her body is firmly stuffed with cotton and has jointed arm and legs. She is made with a heavy sateen black fabric. She has on a simple polka dot calico dress that has red trim. This doll is very dear, very well made and a nice example of a black cloth doll and h...

This woman's bonnet from the 1840's to the 1850's is very well made and displays beautifully. It doesn't have any holes but the wire holding the rim has lost some of the tacking thread. The brim seems to be fine with that and is holding its own. It is a wonderful mellow brown. It has a museum number on the back rim. The bonnet is 9" from the top front to back and is 6" mid way from the front of the brim to the back. It is 7" across from the front brim to brim. This is an outstanding very early ...

This bundle of brown dates to late 19th C. The nice thing about it is I think it has been this way for many years. I bought this along with a lot of other all fabric and all of it was nice. I like this because of the way it is but of course it can be opened and the pieces used. I think there are a number of small pieces and scraps not one big piece but there is one that might be 30" or so. I am offering it for sale as a time capsule not as great useable fabric. C. 1880 8" by 3 1/2" by1" thick

I haven't seen as little a painted oilcloth doll as this one. Because of that I used the black light on her but she is old and has no repaint. Her face us really expertly painted, see closeup. The bottom parts of her arms and legs and her head and shoulders are also painted oilcloth. The paint has age cracking but isn't lifting. She is all hinged so she sits easily. The dress is sewn on her and been reworked at some point to fit her. She would be really happy sitting in a big painted face doll's...

This little antique linen cloth doll with possibly the original dress is just as sweet as can be. She has blue eyes, yellow hair, hint of a painted nose and soft red colored mouth. Her feet turn out and are adorned with leather shoes. Black stockings are sewn on and tuck under the pantaloons. She is firmly stuffed with cotton and does a forced sit. She is 13" call and is circa 1880. This is a perfect doll that will fit in anywhere.

Here are two very nice paper doll dresses made with crepe paper and Dresden paper lace trim from the 1840's The 7" dress is exquisite with watercolor hand painted floral decoration. This dress has a partial unbleached paper backing that is all original. It has a slightly irregular hemline and a dark spot just above the hemline. This is a collection of paper doll dresses from the 1840-50's. They are all cut from tissue paper and glued to blue lined school book paper of that era. The lace looks and feels like Dresden pressed paper. Some of the dresses have backs, fronts and then open to allow to drop over the paper doll's head, like a billboard A frame. Some have names like Flora, written on the inside. One reads Sunday, another Eliza and one that says Dora. They are in surprisingly good condition with just one showing s...

This is one of the nicest drawstring seed bags that I have ever owned. It is a very tiny calico print in the best blue. It has the original drawstring and I always think that makes it nicer. There is a little darkening in a few areas but that is it. It is 5" by 6" and is treadle machine sewn. Circa 1880

This big beautiful black doll has the finest embroidered eyes, I needed a magnifier to see how they were sewn. She has a pinched nose and a simple two line mouth. The maker was certainly more interested in her eyes than her mouth. Her hair is the astrakhan trim material and it is worn a little around her face. Her body is all original and packed firmly with cotton. Her shoulders, hips and knees are jointed so she sits nicely. Her dress fits like a glove and it is a good thing because her shoulde...

This is quite the scrap book. The back and front are cloth covered in blue and white calico. The pages are also cloth with stitching around all the edges. The trade and advertising cards are glued down on both sides of the fabric. The pages are bound together by three holes and each page and tied with a yellow ribbon. There are 11 pages, 22 sides, and one 1/2 page that is original and not cut but just a 1/2 page with cards on both sides. It is a fascinating collection and a wonderful blue calico...

This is a lovely blue wallpaper storage box from the 1840's. It could have stored important papers or hankies or treasured love letters. It is in good condition but the edges and corners are scuffed. The lid rim has the original blue paper under the dark green paper that was placed on it a little later, but not much later, it also is early wallpaper of the same period. The box is 8" by 12" and is 3" high. It is a striking wallpaper box.
