A great stylized primitive toy horse with bead eyes and felt ears. He has a wire frame that holds his shape so he can stand but over the years the wire has broken through the wool homespun fabric in his back and at the bottom of one of his rear legs. He has a long neck and body with short legs that makes him look very folky. He shows wear but the fabric is strong and all there. He is 9" long and 5 1/2" tall. He is circa 1870 and is really nice.

This is a first for me, a topsy turvy doll that are two babies, a white baby on one end and a black baby at the other end. They are made with knit stockings. They have dear little embroidered faces and are girls dressed in pink and white. And since they are babies they are small, just 9" top of head to top of head. They have some age related spots and darkening in areas. They are soft to the touch and adorable to look at. They are mostly hand sewn with some tiny treadle stitches on the hem of th...

Antique black cloth doll with an amazing face that includes well defined embroidered ears. He has raised embroidered eyes with blue centers. His nose is a upside down v with two dots and then the very neutral straight line for a mouth. He is wearing a satin shirt and cotton broadcloth pants. The whole outfit is sewn on him and looks original. His feet are sewn with great heels and then embroidered lines around his ankles to make him look like he is wearing boots, and it works. He sits nicely but...

Fabulous homespun black wool blanket with the best bittersweet color stripes at both ends. It is very soft and in very good condition but not mint. It has a later hand sewn edge on one end that is coming loose in a couple of places and there are a few small thin areas. It is 68" by 60" and it makes quite a statement. It is not as early as the center seam blankets but it makes up for it in looks.

This is nine wooden toy houses made in Germany in the last quarter of the 19th C. They have great eye appeal and are so small they will fit anywhere you want to bring a smile to your face. They are from 1" to 2 3/4" tall. They are painted on both sides so the first picture is all of them facing one way and the second is the other side of all of them.

Early 13" rag doll wearing a black calico dress with red trim. She has a stitched face, hinged arms and legs, firmly stuffed antique body and feet with sewn on boots that show wear to the bottom and the toes. Her body is all original, her calico dress is old but not original to her and doesn't quite meet in the back. Her sweet little face has a quiet but sad look. It seems over the years that I have seen quite a few small cloth black dolls with sad little faces. Circa 1890-1910

This is the biggest Amish doll I have ever owned. She has really nice age, is heavily stuffed with rags and cotton, hinged arms and legs, and the best clothing. She has had lots of being played with so it is a given that the clothes are not original. The dress is a little big for her and early 1900's as well as her undergarments but the bonnet and the cape are very early and terrific. She sits nicely and is the center of attraction where ever she is. She is 22" tall and circa 1890-1900

This very nice black doll has a face constructed with a center seam. I like this kind of doll and I don't see a lot of them. Her face has floss embroidered features. She is made with brown polished cotton fabric and is stuffed with cotton medium firm. She has wool yarn hair that is pulled through the fabric, not an easy feat I would imagine. She has great ears with one earring in her ear and the other one is around her wrist. She has on a brown, tan and yellow plaid dress that fits her very wel...

Early overshot indigo blue and white coverlet that has a center seam. It is in very good sturdy condition and could really be used. It looks and feels clean, it has a couple of stains on one side edge, see pictures, and it has a few very tiny areas of moth nibbles but they don't go through as holes. It is 7'long and 6' 3" wide. It has fringe only on the end not on the sides. The real color is best represented by the close up picture of the brown stains. This is a really nice early, heavy coverl...

Early cloth rag doll with drawn pencil face and mitten hands. She is firmly packed with cotton. She is wearing a very worn but nice blue plaid dress with velvet trim, pantaloons and black socks. She is the epitome of the rag doll that every little girl had, sort of the poor girls American Girl. She has seen lots of play and wear and tear but is still hanging in there. Her dress fits well but not original had a tear up the back of the skirt from hem to waist but the way the folds go it doesn't sh...
