A very nice Babyland Rag doll with a softly faded face that gives her a sweet baby face. She is 21" tall. I have taken a picture of most of her body but the very top and her arms are not accessible. Whoever put on her dress has lots of determination. The cuffs on the sleeves are so tight I can't get it off without cutting it off. The dress is a is cream colored very fine cotton with dark blue polka dots, (there is a tear on the upper sleeve on her left arm.) Under her dress she has an antique sl...

This boy doll is wearing the nicest all original blue wool felt suit. Over his shoulder he is wearing a satchel probably a newspaper bag. He has the 1920 Dutch boy haircut and my guess is he had on a hat. He sits easily. He has a 4 moth holes other than that he is in good all original shape...oh yes elastics are holding the soles on his shoes! Circa 1920-30's.

This wallpaper box in the shape of a man's stove pipe hat has a wonderful blue and mustard wallpaper with yellow brim trim. The hat box is all about looks! And the looks are from eye level up meaning that the top and the bottom of the hat box are long missing. I have used it with a print works cat sitting in it...see picture. (Sorry you have to find your own cat!) But if set on a shelf or on top of a cupboard you don't know anything is missing. As I said it has a great look. It is 8" by 11" wide...

Very nice poplar Shaker bonnet with a label marking the size as a 5. They were also made in size #6 and size #7. The bonnets were sold by the Shakers in their gift shops but they were not made by the Shakers. This one is in very good condition. It does have a few brown stains at the top of the brim edge, see photo. This is just about as good as you can get for this type of Shaker bonnet.

She is ready for afternoon tea, dressed in white and looking very demure. She is substantial in height and weight. She is very well made and every bit hand sewn. Her face is painted on the fabric and very nicely done. Her eyes are big and blue. She has hair that is pinned on and she has many layers of underclothes. She has on rather heavy stockings and white leather shoes. She has a mend in her forehead that is darned like you would a sock. It is sort of quaint. She has dainty stitched defined h...

A late 19th C cloth doll with a stitched face and big mitten hands. She is dressed as found in a blouse with cut off sleeves and a very pretty age appropriate brown calico skirt. she has on an antique petticoat and pantaloons and black socks covering her original feet. It looks like she had a face over this face but it isn't with her now. She had an eye missing so I put in to black pins. One pin over the original stitched eye and the other for the missing eye. I like everything about her. She is...

A very folky early rag doll with pencil face and a touch of blue in her eyes. Every thing is sewn on her and I do believe it has been that way a long time if not original. She has a square head and no neck and straight across shoulders and short little arms. She has wide hips and hinged arms and legs. Her head is a little floppy front to back but a ribbon tied around her neck I think would remedy that. She is stuffed with cotton and rags and is quite heavy. She is so nice and so original and ver...

This is a wonderful antique boy cloth doll in his original dark green wool suit. A white shirt has been added underneath the jacket. He is cotton stuffed firmly but not rock hard. He bends a little for a half sitting position. His face is sepia ink drawn with nice detail. He also has ink drawn hair with ears at on both sides, the left ear being a little more distinct. Naïve but nicely painted face doll with great red curls around her face. She is 21" tall and her body has a very broad chest that narrows into a smaller waist and hardly any flare to her hips. She is jointed at the shoulders and at the hips. She is very firmly packed with cotton. She has reinforced stitches at her neck below her chin and then stitches at the back of her neck also. She sits nicely and she knows that she is pretty. Circa 1890.

This late 19th C. stockinette doll has a lollipop head with an embroidered face that is more an suggestion of a face than a hard drawn face. Her face is open and kindly, her body is some what soft and comforting to the touch. Her clothes fit really nicely and her pantaloons and petticoat match. She is as found and her clothes feel and look like they have been on her a long time. The back of her head looks like she might have had more stitches to look like hair but only has a few now. This doll i...

A very nice spun cotton doll with a very clever way of dressing her. Her inner core is spun cotton and around that is a heavy piece of paper roll with a big of a flare so the skirt is wider at the bottom than at the waist. The use of the blanket stitch for the outline and trim she has a muff, with arms going into it and a bonnet on her head with a cloak covering her shoulders and coming to a point at the back of her skirt. This big folk art oil cloth doll has a lot going for her. She has heavy brush stroke painted face done by some no nonsense mother. She gave her a suggestion of curls around her face, no fussy curls here! She colored her lips a dark purple but definitely not bright red. Seeing that she is all oil cloth her body is very firm as well as her legs and arms. She has wear and some cracking to the paint but not through the oil cloth, which often happens. She has just a bit of flaking paint on the top of...
